Lynzee Schatz

WINEMAKER

Lynzee Schatz is the winemaker at Time Family of Wines, creating the lineup of small batch wines for Chronos, Evolve Cellars and McWatters Collection. Along with her team and a commitment to quality and authenticity, Lynzee’s wines are ones you will be proud to enjoy with any occasion.

Schatz was raised in the Okanagan and started her career in the cellar at Summerhill Pyramid Winery. There she became interested in winemaking which led her to start her formal wine studies in Australia. After completing a Bachelor of Wine Science from Charles Sturt University, she travelled extensively and completed vintages at several wineries including Pisoni Vineyards in California, Domaine Chandon and Yeringberg in Australia’s Yarra Valley, Tawse and Angel’s Gate in Ontario.

Schatz returned to BC in 2014 and spent the next five years at Vancouver Urban Winery, Postmark Brewing and Okanagan Crush Pad until starting in 2019 as a winemaker at Time Family of Wines.

With a large amount of care and attention to waste reduction and quality through the Barrelwise program, carbon footprint reduction measures and vegan wine-making practices, Lynzee is proud to have the opportunity to develop the highest quality wines in the beautiful Okanagan Valley and do our part supporting the environment.

Leading the cellar team for the past 5 years Lynzee leads the Time Family wine program focused on key elements of authenticity, quality and detail, creating wines that lead to lasting memories through shared experiences.
